Jambo Michelle!
I am happy you ventured over to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. It sounds like you are planning an exciting adventure during your upcoming vacation to
Walt Disney World!
During a visit this last November I was fortunate enough to experience the
Up Close with Rhinos tour at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. I found the tour to be engaging as the guides shared their passion about the challenges these gentle giants face, their different personalities and what they are capable of.
Much of the tour is conversational while standing at different viewing points of the rhinos and their habitat. If your four year old finds animals fascinating and is comfortable listening for 10-15 minutes at a time, it will be enjoyable and interesting for them! That being said, if you have a mover and a shaker, this tour may not hold their attention as there is not much movement throughout the experience.
Kilimanjaro Safaris offer another great way to get closer to the animals, including rhinos, with a quicker pace that may be better suited to keep a preschooler's attention. Throughout the park there are also numerous
animal encounters that can be enjoyed at your own pace.
A great way to make sure that you see all of the habitats Animal Kingdom park has to offer, while keeping your preschooler busy and engaged, is the
Wilderness Explorers activity!
Navigate back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions as you plan your adventure.
See ya real soon! Angie
