I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. Is it worth my while to lug a double stroller with me throughout the park or is easier to rent one?

I have 1, 3, and 5 year old children and we bring two strollers from home - a double and a single.

The rental strollers do not suit my family's needs.  They are very hard plastic which was not comfortable for my daughter (we tried them once and only once), and they do not have any storage basket or cupholder.  They are also the jogging-style strollers so they are very wide and we found them to be difficult to navigate through a crowd.  They are also pricey - a double stroller will cost you $18/day (price current as of 12/07).  Perhaps the biggest drawback to a rented stroller is that it is for use within the parks only.  When you leave it at the gate, your tired children will have to walk (or be carried by you!) to the bus or parking tram, through the parking lot, through your resort, on the monorail...  We only had one child when we tried the rental stroller and we found that to be very hard to manage - I can't even imagine doing it with 2 or 3.

This is just our personal preference, based on our experiences.  However, there are thousands of rental strollers at Disney so there are many people who feel differently.  I've heard a lot of complaints about it being inconvenient to fold the stroller on a bus (we leave ours open on the monorail and boats).  And it's true, folding on the bus can be a pain.  But I think it's more of a pain to carry tired kids and all the 'stuff' you accumulate in the parks.  I'd bring your stroller!
