I have a 13 and 11 year old and a 3year old. So I was wondering is there a way for me and my husband to ride the rides with the older kids one at a time while one of us stay and wait to ride with our 3 year old. That is without waiting in line twice.

    Hey Howdy Hey Samantha,

Thank you for your question. I'm delighted to hear that your family will be visiting Walt Disney World.

You will definitely be able to enjoy the attractions as a family and also attractions that your youngest may not be able to ride without having to wait in the whole queue line twice. The Disney Parks have come up with a convenient feature called the Rider Switch to help families utilize the attractions in a timely manner even if all the Guests in their party do not wish to ride whether it is due to height restrictions or personal preference.

Both parents and child(ren) will go to the queue line and speak to the Cast Member so they can give you the Rider Switch card. Here's how it works, one adult will wait with the non-rider while the rest of the party participates on the attraction. The waiting adult then can board the attraction without having to wait in the regular line again once another adult returns to supervise the non-participating Guest. The waiting adult may also bring one other Guest with them to ride the attraction with them.

The Rider Switch may not be available at all attractions so check with a Cast Member and to obtain yours.

I hope this helps you, please feel free to ask any more questions to make your next vacation magical.

Happy riding!
