I have a 14 year old and a 11 year old who are rather picky eaters. At a table service restaurant would they be allowed to order off the kid's menu? Do table service restaurants allow for changes? (i.e. no meat in the 'meaty mac and cheese) ?

    Hi Shelly,

Disney works really hard to accommodate even the pickiest of eaters. If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, your children will need to order from the adult menu because of their ages. If you are not on the Disney Dining Plan, you may have a little more flexibility here. You can always ask.

Disney will serve pasta without the sauce. However, no meat in the meaty mac and cheese might be tougher because the dish is assembled and then baked together.

You may have better luck at a buffet where there is not restriction on which foods you can eat off the buffet. I often eat the chicken nuggets at some restaurants if I feel like it or even grab a slice of pizza. I also find buffets are a great way to try new foods. It was at the Cape May Cafe buffet that my oldest daughter discovered her love of fish.

You should have your children look at the menus for the restaurants you are thinking about visiting. This may help alleviate the stress of finding something to eat at every meal.

    Have a magical vacation!
