I have a 4 year old and a 7 year old. We are doing a cruise in Jan 2020 for 7 days. If my kids are tired and want to sleep, is it safe for them to stay in the state room alone if we need to go out for dinner? Or can they be taken to a kids club?

    Ahoy, Sarika!

I LOVE that you are starting the new yEAR and decade with a sailing onboard Disney Cruise Line! Seven nights to experience all the MAGIC and WONDER onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship will be the perfect beginning to 2020 for your seafaring crew!

Sarika, my kiddos are also three yEARs apart, and we sailed when they were the same ages as your Mouseketeers. Whenever my husband and I wanted to enjoy an adult-only dining experience or the entertainment areas in the evenings, we utilized the Oceaneer Club and the Oceaneer Lab. The programming, along with the youth counselors are both fantastic! We found that once our two checked in later in the day, they had renewed energy to enjoy the planned activities and spaces. But, there were a few times they needed to rest from all the excitement, so we found them relaxing on mats watching one of their favorite Disney movies when we stopped by to pick them up. We also found that on the seven-night sailings, "family naptime" was beneficial even though they weren't napping anymore at home. This would help them (and us!) go a little longer in the evenings.

I hope these tips will help, Sarika! Please reach back out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you need further assistance with your magical plans. We are always hEAR to help!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
