My 10 year old wears eye glasses. Do I need to worry about his eye glasses falling off on any of the rides or fast roller coasters?

    Hey, Ceil!

My youngest daughter has worn glasses since she was about 9 years old, and there are very few attractions at Walt Disney World where we have ever even thought about worrying about them. For the most part, all of the attractions are eyeglasses friendly.

After consulting with my pint sized eyeglasses expert, I am advised that the only attraction she worries about is Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. She says she doesn't think she'd ever lose them, but she feels they're safer with her ride weenie mom, who is waiting outside of the attraction. She has a warning, though - don't put them in your sister's pocket. It ends in disaster.

Also at Disney's Hollywood Studios, my daughter says she could see some people wanting to take their glasses off if they ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. She remembers that she did the first time she rode, but she couldn't see, so she hasn't done it since, without having a problem.

One more thing my daughter wanted your son to know - if you have a dry place to put your glasses, you might want to do so on Kali River Rapids at Disney's Animal Kingdom. She says she doesn't think glasses would fall off, but they get wet, and then you don't have a dry shirt-tail to clean them off on.

    Have a great time!
