Ahoy Dotti!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Can you believe January is almost over? That means your magical voyage will be here in just a few months! I know you are getting very excited to spend time on the high seas with Captain Mickey and his seafaring crew!
I'm glad you stopped by with your question about your little sailor. To participate in the secured programming in the
Oceaneer Club and Lab, he will need to be potty trained. The youth counselors are not allowed to be in the restrooms, so he will need to be able to know what to do by himself. Pants or shorts with elastic are a great choice to pack, so he can easily get them up and down on his own. If he is having trouble with potty training, he can still visit the Oceaneer Club and Lab accompanied by you or another adult family member during the Open House hours. Open House opportunities are offered each day and will be listed in your Personal Navigator (the daily cruise newsletter) or on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, which is available for iPhones and Android devices at this time (this app can be used on board while your phone is in airplane mode). Your other option will be for him to visit the
nursery. For a nominal hourly fee, he can stay and play by making reservations either online or once aboard.
My daughter was over three when she finally potty trained, and I thought it would never happen! But, just as everyone told me, it just clicked one day and she never looked back! Hopefully, your little one will be ready to ditch the diapers very soon.
Thank you again for visiting us here at the Moms Panel, Dottie! We are always glad to help.
Have a magical day!
Nancy
