We have 5 year old twin boys and we are renting strollers from Kingdom Strollers but can't decide if we should get (2) singles or (1) double stroller. My hubby thinks a double stroller with 2 very big 5 year olds is going to be tough to push. Thoughts?

    Hi Sybil!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  As a mom of four children including a set of nine-year-old twin boys, my family has navigated the theme parks using two single strollers and also with a double stroller. We preferred the double stroller when the twins were toddlers, but felt two single strollers worked better for our family as they got older. The single strollers were easier to navigate in crowded areas. At times, one twin would fall asleep while the other remained awake. Having two strollers ensured the sleeping twin could get his entire nap in, rather than being awakened by his brother.

The one disadvantage to having two single strollers was when traveling by bus. We found it to be slightly more challenging as my husband would have to fold both strollers and load them onto the bus, while I took care of the boys. However, by age five, they were able to climb onto the bus without assistance making the overall process much easier. Based on my own personal experience, I would suggest renting two single strollers for your five-year-old twin boys.

I hope this information is helpful in making the best decision for your family. Please don't hesitate to visit me again if you have any additional questions that I can assist you with. Best wishes for a magical trip, Sybil!

    Happy Travels,
