Hi there! We have a 4 year old that will be 4 1/2 by the time we sail. We also have an 8 year old and wanted to do both snorkeling/bike/floaties and the stingray encounter at Castaway Cay. Can our 4 1/2 participate if we pay?

    Welcome aboard, Heather!

Castaway Cay is one of my favorite spots in the world. Just wait until you arrive at Disney's private island paradise where you can be as busy or as relaxed as you'd like all day.

Snorkeling in the Snorkel Lagoon is an activity that my family and I love to enjoy on the island. The clear waters make for the perfect spot to spy new fish and even sea turtles! My son and I got a real thrill when a huge sea turtle swam right under us when we were snorkeling there a few months ago! How amazing! Plus, Disney has hidden some fun items under the waves for you to spot, so if you're hunting for hidden Mickeys, keep your eyes peeled! We also love a leisurely bike ride around the bike paths and a stop out at the observation tower to view the island from up high. Don't miss that halfway through the bike loop!

Since the Port Adventures are strict on ages, you won't be able to book your younger child on the Extreme Getaway Package because it's for ages five and up only. In fact, the system won't even allow the option. This is specifically for the snorkeling and Castaway Ray's Stingray portion of this adventure. I'd suggest that if you, your husband, and older child want to do this package, you let your little one play in Scuttle's Cove with the fabulous counselors while you do the stingray part of the adventure. Then, pick him or her up and rent bikes (some with training wheels are available if needed) or floats, adding one extra rental on the spot so your whole family can enjoy the other parts of the adventure. This will even save some money!

I hope that helps as you book your adventures, Heather. Stop back and visit us again if we can help with any other questions before you set sail!
