Greetings to you, Aida, thanks for stopping by planDisney.
Sounds like you have a little Nemo on your hands! Swimming on a
Disney Cruise is extra fun! I did a little research and unfortunately per the
U.S. Public Health Service, only toilet-trained children are permitted to swim in the pools and spas/hot tubs or ride on waterslides aboard the ship. The youngest cruisers that still need to wear swim diapers are limited to the water splash play areas on select ships. You’ll want to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to explore the water options on your specific ship and sailing.
I’m sorry that is not the most magical answer for the little one. I will say that on the Disney Dream, the
Nemo’s Reef splash pad was the cutest little spot and the kiddos were having a blast! While your little one can’t swim on board, they should be able to swim on port adventures off the ship, and if your travels take you there,
Disney Castaway Cay. Outside of swimming there are many activities that your three-year-old can enjoy both on and off the ship. Once your cruise is fully paid and the online reservation spots for activities open, be sure to check out some of the fun water adventures available for your little one.
Well, I sure hope this information is helpful for you Aida, as you prepare for your sailing. If you have any other questions before your sailing,
we’re just a message away!
Bon Voyage!
Camille
