Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    My 5 year old son wants to dress as Peter Pan when we visit. Peter has a small sword/dagger on his hip as part of costume. Is a play dagger/sword/foyle aloud to be brought into the park with the costume? How about a sword/foyle with a Capt. Hook cosume?

    Thank you for your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so excited for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. You are going to make magical memories!

    I love seeing kids dress up in their favorite characters when they are visiting Disney Parks. Your children are fine to dress in costumes as long as they do not wear masks. They may bring plastic play or pretend accessories, such as Peter Pan's sword, to go along with their costume as long as it is not a real weapon. If you have any concern, the Disney Parks sell pirate swords and hooks near the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.
