We have a 3 year old son and want to take him to Disney for the first time before his baby brother arrives. What is a better time (weather/price/line wise) Feb, March or April? Suggestions on hotels/parks? Anything helps and THANK YOU!! :)

Hi, Karen!  I love happy baby news, so congratulations on expecting a new little prince very soon!

If you can avoid President's Weekend in February, I would recommend February as being the best of the options.  Easter this year falls on April 5th, so there will be pretty heavy crowds the last week of March/beginning of April.  You will also find that there are quite a few schools - especially colleges and universities - with spring breaks in mid-March. That will increase the crowd level in the theme parks.

February has cooler weather, lighter crowds, and slightly lower prices. Early February - before President's weekend - is considered Value season, so you'll find the lowest prices on resort room rates the earlier in February you go.

Hotel suggestions really depend on your budget and what type of amenities you are hoping to find.  My family loves Pop Century and Art of Animation for value resorts.  Our favorite Moderates are Disney's Coronado Springs resort and Port Orleans French Quarter.  If you are going with a Deluxe resort, consider one of the monorail properties, which make getting around to some places a little easier.  We also like Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge for a deluxe property without monorail access.

I think with a three year old, the Magic Kingdom is a must! If he likes animals, Disney's Animal Kingdom is a good park for little ones, as it doesn't require the stamina of some of the larger parks.  We also really enjoy Hollywood Studios.

This is such a nice way to remind your little one just how special he is - and how special his new role as big brother will be!
