Hi Amanda!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We have traveled on several trips with my sister-in-law who is allergic to gluten and dairy. I have always been impressed by the amazing job that Disney does with food allergies. There really isn’t one particular restaurant that caters to allergies, because all Disney operated dining locations do! How awesome is that?
I recommend you make Advance Dining Reservations for Table Service dining in advance and be sure to have your son’s allergies noted on the reservation. When you check-in at the restaurant, they will usually ask you, but simply mention your allergy again. Your server will be aware of the allergy at the table and you should receive a special
Allergy Friendly Menu. You may also request the chef to come to your table to discuss what items on the menu are safe, or to walk you through a buffet line. At quick service dining locations, let a Cast Member know that you have food allergies in your party, and that you need an Allergy Friendly Menu. If you need a snack on the go for your little guy, look for Snacks with Character! These items were recently introduced to the parks and offer allergy friendly products and labeling right on the front!
Since so many breakfast foods involve eggs, I would recommend Character Dining at either lunch or dinner. My sons loved Pooh and his friends from the 100 Acre Wood at The Crystal Palace. We always enjoy the food at this location and there should be plenty of options for your entire family. Another good option would be dinner at Chef Mickey’s. We dined there last week and we had a lovely time with Mickey and all his friends.
I hope this helps you as you plan your trip, Amanda. Please let us know what other questions we can help you with as you get ready for your magical vacation!
