My 6-year old son and I are coming for 6 days starting Nov 1st. I have park hopper passes. What is the best schedule to hit all 4 parks? Obviously MK has the most attractions. Also on arrival day at 11:15am is it best to hit the MK that day?

    Hi Brian,

There are two schools of thought on the best way tour. The first is that you should go right away to the Magic Kingdom right away. Most younger children will think of that as "Disney" and will want to get there right away, so you should do that first.

The second school of thought is that you should do the other parks first and save the MK as the icing on the cake.

Since you have a Park Hopper, I'd mix it up a bit, alternating half days at the MK and other parks.

I'm also going to point you an independent website touringplans.com. They've done extensive analysis of crowd patterns at Walt Disney World and have lists of which park will be most/least crowded each day in their Crowd Calendar. They list which are the best/worst parks to visit each day. You can use this information to inform your schedule.

Personally, I would not go to the MK on the first day because by the time you arrive it will be fairly crowded and you'll have to do some frustrating waiting, That may not be the impression you want to give your son with his first experience. You have a better first MK experience if you arrive immediately when the park opens in the morning.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
