My 11 year old son has Autism so even though he is 11 he may not "fit in" to the 11yr old activities and is too big for younger activities. what cruise and programs would you suggest and is there childcare for special needs children onboard

    Ahoy Courtney!
Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Disney Cruise Line does a phenomenal job of accommodating Guests of all ages and needs.  The youth programming for your son is actually from age from 3 to 12 so my hopes are that he will be able to experience these fun, imaginative spaces on your sailing.  Since your son is 11, this is the only childcare offered so my advice is to stop by the Oceaneer Club and Lab upon boarding so you can speak to the youth counselors about your son's particular situation.  They will be able to fill you in on how to make your son's time in the Oceaneer Club and Lab both comfortable and enjoyable.  Each night you will receive a daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator.  I recommend paying close attention to the activities listed in the Oceaneer Club row because these will most likely be the ones your son will prefer.  The club is open from around 9:00 a.m. to midnight so hopefully you will get to experience some of the adult-only areas and activities while he experiences some of his own fun.
Thank you for stopping by, Courtney!  If I can assist you further, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
