Welcome back aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, John!
It sounds like you have a high seas adventure ahead of you. I am excited for you to make some memories together with your daughter during your cruise! Now that she is 18 years old, a whole new world has opened up for her when she sails with Captain Mickey.
One of the things I like best about cruising with Disney is the variety of entertainment and activities onboard for all ages. Disney Cruise Line offers onboard activities and events for guests specifically of your daughter's age group. The 1820 Society is a social group onboard each sailing that is coordinated by cruise staff for guests that are 18, 19 or 20 years old.
I recommend to keep an eye on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App the first day of your vacation as the first event scheduled is typically an ice breaker and a great way to connect with other guests. Throughout the cruise, there will be additional 1820 Society events, games and lunches to attend!
Your daughter will now also have access to dedicated spaces onboard reserved for the 18+ crowd including the
Quiet Cove Pool,
Senses Spa and Salon and my favorite dining rooms,
Palo and
Remy. If she likes to break a sweat, she now has access to the
Fitness Center as well. There are many onboard activities and events exclusive to pirates over 18 years old like trivia, cooking demonstrations and even fantasy sports drafts! Use the Navigator App on your personal device to check the daily schedules for all onboard activities and the 1820 Society events during your sailing.
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before you set sail!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
