Hello Marie! Welcome to planDisney!
I have never been one to call myself a "Foodie" or care much about my
Advance Dining Reservations, as my family of five is also big on "mac & cheese" if you know what I mean! Since I figured they wouldn't eat much we've simply shied away from table-service restaurants that we weren't sure they would enjoy. However, after my latest trip to
Walt Disney World Resort with friends, I have 100% changed my mind and CAN NOT wait to go back and show my husband and my kids what they've been missing! I'm still dreaming about the Ahi Tuna Nachos from
Yak & Yeti Restaurant in
Disney's Animal Kingdom!
When you visit a table service restaurant at The Most Magical Place on Earth, you can bet that your family will be accommodated and everyone will leave with a full belly! Whether you want to try a new cuisine that's out of this world at
Space 220 Restaurant or you're looking for a family-friendly character experience at
The Garden Grill Restaurant, you're sure to find something to please every palate!
At any time your 12-year-old will be able to order off of the children's menu, and may even be given an adult-sized portion of their favorite meal for a slight upcharge. At table service locations she'll be able to order whatever she wants, even if it comes from the children's menu, and at family-style meals or buffets, she'll be welcome to eat (or not eat!) anything she likes, though she will be charged for the adult meal since she is over 10-years-old.
If you're coming during one of
EPCOT's famous festivals, such as the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, you may find that snacking on all the scrumptious treats leaves you feeling too full for an entire meal. In this case, you too can share in the delights of a smaller meal, especially at
quick-service locations.
As I've told another Guest and some of my friends who visit; no matter how picky your little ones can be about food, no one can turn down a Mickey Premium Bar on a hot afternoon!
Enjoy all of your eating adventures and tell your 12-year-old that Walt Disney World Resort really does make the BEST mac & cheese!
