My 77 year old mother is thinking about traveling to Disney with us next year. Are there any discounts for Seniors? She is on a fixed income so any discount would be great! Thanks so much, Lisa

Hi, Lisa!  One of the great things about Disney World is that everyone gets to be a kid again when they go!  The bad thing about everyone getting to be a kid again is that there aren't any senior citizen discounts.

There are, however, other avenues you might want to check into for discounts.

Walt Disney World itself sometimes offers discounted room rates for Disney VISA card holders, annual pass holders, and the general public, so you can keep an eye out for anything like that.  There are also times when Walt Disney World has offered free dining when you book a package, so see if your travel dates fall in one of the free dining periods.  That can be a big money saver.

There are sometimes package deals through AAA, and while they may not be discounted over what you can book through Walt Disney World directly, you may find that you get special member benefits.  AAA often offers Diamond Parking, special lounge access, and story time.

If your mother is a Florida resident, she may qualify for theme park pass discounts.  Also, there are occasionally discounts available for members of the military.

It sounds like a wonderful idea to include your mother in your upcoming vacation!  Some of our most magical memories have been made when we've traveled with the grandparents!
