Welcome aboard, Patricia! The Disney Magic is my all-time favorite of Disney's four magical ships, so I cannot wait for your family to experience everything that is in store for you onboard!
I have two kids who cannot get enough of the
Youth Clubs on the ship.
Edge is the tween club, and I remember when my daughter first turned 11 and got to enjoy a week at sea with new friends and the awesome counselors in Edge. She was in heaven! A little more "grown up" than Oceaneer Club and Lab, Edge is for tweens only, from ages 11-14. I'm sorry to say that your nine year-old won't be able to join her big brother in Edge during regular program hours.
However, the good news is that since your son is 12, he can join his younger sister in Oceaneer Club and Lab whenever he'd like. The Club and Lab are for ages three to 12, so they can both enjoy time together there. And, drum roll please... your nine year-old won't be locked out of Edge completely! Hooray! There are Open House hours when guests of all ages can pop into Edge to check out the space and fun. Perhaps your son can host your daughter during those times and show her around "his" club!
Have you downloaded the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to your mobile devices yet? If not, go ahead and do so! For now, there's a countdown to your cruise date. But, once onboard, you can text your family members through the app (using super cute Disney Cruise emojis!), and also view the scheduled activities and make a list of favorites so you don't miss a thing!
Have fun planning, Patricia, and please stop back again with any other questions! Happy New Year!
