My 11 year old has never been to Disney, but when I was a kid I was about 7 years old when I went with my family. What are the best things to do with an 11 year old boy?

Hi, John!  Seven is an awesome age to take a kid to Walt Disney World!  It's an age where he's tall enough for most of the attractions, and excited enough by the characters and the parades that there's still a ton of magic to be found!

I would say the list is almost endless when it comes to what a seven year old boy will find entertaining!  Definitely do Buzz Lightyear and Toy Story Midway Mania (at the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios respectively).  These are interactive attractions that most kids really enjoy.  He might also love the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy show.

All of my kids love the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  You are up close and personal on this African safari, seeing animals you may have only seen before in the zoo.  It's Tough to Be a Bug is another big hit with most kids this age.

EPCOT has Test Track (with a height requirement of 40") and Disney's Hollywood Studios has the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular and Star Tours, a Star Wars themed attraction.  My nephews have always enjoyed those attractions.

If you're looking for something different to do, you might want to book an appointment at the Pirate's League, where they can make your son over from your handsome prince into a fierce pirate; or go full steam ahead on the pirate theme and book the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage, where you'll have the best seat in the house for the Wishes fireworks - from a boat!

I hope you have an absolutely magical vacation with your son!
