I have a 3 year old daughter who right now measures 38.5 inches and we are going to Disney May 7-17th. How strict are they on height requirements? I suspect she will measure 39 inches at the park. Can she ride those 40in rides?

    Hi Katherine,

Disney is VERY strict about height requirements for rides. Children going on rides with height restrictions are usually measured twice, once at the front entrance line for the attraction and then again immediately prior to boarding. This is really for the safety of the guest so that all the restraint bars fit properly.

However, I can tell you that Disney measures kids for rides while they are wearing their shoes. You may want to take this into consideration as you choose which footwear to bring for your daughter.

Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World.
