Can my 11 year old daughter order off the children's menu (table service) if we are paying with cash? Thank you

    Hi Rhonda,

There are a number of restrictions about what children can or can't eat when you're using the Disney Dining Plan for payment. But if you're paying out of pocket (cash, credit card, etc.) almost all those restrictions disappear.

If you're paying cash, anyone can order anything from a table service menu. Your 11-year-old could certainly order from the child's menu if you're paying cash. My 60-something year old mother often orders from the children's menu simply because she prefers the smaller portion size.

One thing you should be aware of -- If you're going to a buffet or similar prix fixe meal at Disney World (Chef Mickey's, for example), anyone age 10 and up will be charged the adult price. Your daughter (and you) can eat from any part of the buffet, the child line or the adult line, but you will be charged the adult rate.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
