Hi, My 6 year old daughter and I are embarking on our very first cruise ever & glad we chose Disney! We sail from Galveston 9 Nov on the Wonder. Are there any programs for single parents traveling with like-aged kids to hang out together?

Welcome back, Mary! Well, it's only just a few weeks away! Pretty soon you'll be waving goodbye to Galveston as you sail off on the Disney Wonder!

There are quite a few opportunities for singles to meet up on a Disney cruise. Keep an eye on your Personal Navigator for a listing of the events each day. You'll notice that there will be some activities for singles listed on the Adults line of the schedule. I've seen Singles Lunches and late afternoon Singles Mingles. Of course, there are also many activities listed for kids and parents together. Perhaps you could swing by a few of the singles events where I'm sure a few of the others there might have kids around the same age as your daughter. Alternately, I've always enjoyed meeting other parents at the family crafts and activities like the trivia. I'd suggest stopping into one of the singles events early on in the sailing, as many times, folks meet up those first few days at the formal singles meets and then make their own plans to meet up for other events later in the sailing.

Even just hanging out by the pool is a great way to strike up conversations with fellow guests as the kids play together in the water. I hope you'll have a wonderful time on the cruise, Mary. Do take advantage of all of the fun activities for adults both day and night!

I hope to see you around the ship! Happy planning!
