Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    My 3 year old daughter just adores Stitch, but she is too short to go on "Stitch's great escape." Can she go on the ride if I'm with her, or is there somewhere else she can go to have fun with Stitch?

    The height requirements at Walt Disney World are strictly enforced. Your child will only be allowed on an attraction if she meets the minimum height requirement, regardless of whether she is accompanied by an adult. However, even though your daughter loves Stitch I might caution you against having a 3-year-old go on that attraction even if she were tall enough. Much of the presentation is quite intense and takes place in complete darkness. Many younger children have a difficult time with this one.

    No worries though, Stitch is easy to find at Walt Disney World. One of the best places to find him is at the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at the Polynesian resort. He walks around to every table and interacts with each family. There also occasional activities in the restaurant such as a parade or dancing where your child can interact with Stitch. My family dined there about two weeks ago -- lots of fun AND all you can eat Mickey waffles. You can't go wrong there.     If you're not up for a meal with Stitch, you can still often find him in the parks. The best way to find out when Stitch, or any other specific character, will be appearing during the time of your visit is to go to the Guest Relations office at any of the theme parks (these are noted on the maps). Ask them to call the "character hotline" for you. They will have all the information you need about if/where/when your favorite character will be in the parks.
