I've got 13 year old boys that want to see the Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland. We'll only have one day--Friday (maybe Thursday afternoon) to visit. What are the best (least busy) days during the summer to visit and the tickets we will need?

Greetings, Cynthia, and may the Force be with you!

I'm happy to see you here with your question and I'd be happy to help you get the most out of your Star Wars day with your two padawans! Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland Park is one of the most immersive lands ever built at a Disney Park and I'm sure that your boys will have a fantastic time!

If you're looking to avoid the most crowded times while visiting Disneyland Park, my best recommendation would be to make Rope Drop first thing in the morning. Better yet, if you are staying at one of the three official Disneyland Resort Hotels, you'll be eligible for Early Entry and can enter the Park 30 minutes before the general public! You'd be amazed at how much you can experience in the mornings because the Parks tend to get more crowded as the day progresses. If you do make Rope Drop, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is one of the most popular attractions to experience first thing.

The summer season has historically been a busy period for the Resort, but holiday weekends such as July 4th and Labor Day can tend to draw more crowds. It is difficult to predict crowd levels with 100% accuracy but there are a number of third party crowd predictors on the Internet that attempt to do so based on previous algorithms.

In order to visit Galaxy's Edge, everyone in your party will need a valid Disneyland Theme Park Ticket and reservation. If you purchase a one-day ticket, you'll need to pay attention to the Tier Level of that ticket. When it's within 60 days of your visit, you'll be able to make reservations for Savi's Workshop and Oga's Cantina, experiences that your boys might enjoy! I would also recommend downloading the Play Disney Parks app for a more immersive experience!

Cynthia, I hope you were able to use this answer to better plan your visit. I can easily spend several hours in Galaxy's Edge and I hope you and your boys have a wonderful time playing in the Star Wars Universe! Please reach out to us again anytime if you have any further questions!

    May The Spires Keep You!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
