My 3.5 year old boy LOVES the Car movie!! I noticed they discontinued the parade at DS that featured the Car characters. Is there anywhere else he can see Lightening McQueen, Mater and the crew? We are visiting the end of May/first week of June.

Very easy! They have regular character greeting opportunities with both Lightning McQueen and Mater throughout the day at the Hollywood Studios.

Let me start by saying that they are VERY COOL characters to meet! The experience is very well executed, and I think it is worth making your way to see. As to the when and where, that is a bit harder to nail down. Traditionally I have seen them in the open space at the very center of the park, near the Sorcerer's Hat.

Since schedules for these kinds of encounters can change often, and without public notice, I would recommend that on the day that you visit this park that you ask a cast member as you enter both the time and location where your son can plan on meeting them. They have a central info line that they can call to get that information. You might even try having a cast member call the day before hand, even if you are at another park, to see what the next day's schedule might be.

    Have a magical vacation!
