We have a 3-year old and aren't sure which Parks (if any) would be appropriate for his age. Any suggestions? We're meeting out-of-town relatives who have older kids (5 and 10). Also, which resorts are best for kids under 5? Thanks!

    Hi Michelle,

There are activities and attractions that are appropriate for 3-year-olds at all of the Disney parks. I started bringing my own children to WDW when they were younger than three and never felt like there was any lack of things to do with them.

The classic park for younger children is the Magic Kingdom. Little kids can enjoy Buzz Lightyear, Small World, the teacups, the Tomorrowland Speedway, Peter Pan's Flight, Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, the Country Bear Jamboree, character greetings, parades and much, much more.

Animal lovers of any age will enjoy the Animal Kingdom including the Nemo and Lion King shows, the Kilimanjaro Safari and the play areas in Dinoland.

Disney's Hollywood Studios has the Disney Junior show, the auto stunt show, the Little Mermaid show, and the Indiana Jones show that often appeals to young boys.

And Epcot has all the Kidcot fun stops, the Kim Possible adventure, the Nemo ride, and lots of character interaction opportunities.

As for hotels, truly ALL of the Disney hotels are child-friendly. They all have pools and playgrounds that are great fun for youngsters. My kids' personal favorite is the Beach Club, because of the amazing pool. But they also like the animal viewing at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, the big thematic items at the Pop Century, and the beach areas to explore at the Caribbean Beach resort.

Whatever you choose, you're sure to have a vacation to remember.
