Hi I have a 3 year old and April 2019 will be our first family trip to Disney. What resorts are best to stay at for a 3 year old?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sheena! It's so exciting to hear you're just a few months away from your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

In my opinion, you should consider two factors, theming and distance. One of the main reasons we chose to stay at a Disney Resort hotel was because of its magical theming, which my son loved as a toddler. Disney's All-Star Movies and Disney's Art of Animation have the most appealing theming to toddlers. From the 101 Dalmatians and Toy Story to the Little Mermaid, Cars and The Lion King, no one beats their decorations! Your little one will feel immersed in his favorite movies! Disney's Art of Animation is home to the largest pool on site while Disney's All-Star Movies features the classic Sorcerer Mickey fountain. Both resorts have water play areas for little ones.

Another aspect I would take into account would be theme park proximity. Our family loves the Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot, and we know those are the two parks we will visit the most days. Therefore, we always choose to stay in one of the monorail loop resorts. Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian & Spa, and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort are just a monorail ride away in case your little one needs a quieter place to take a nap.

Sheena, I hope you find this answer helpful. If you have any more questions, please come back. We love to help!

    See you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
