This year will be the first year that we will be attending the Mickeys Halloween Party and we are very excited!! We really don't know what to expect or how everything will work. Any tips on what to look out for or what time to be there? TIA

    Sure thing, Monica!

I’m so glad to hEAR you are headed to the Disneyland Resort to enjoy Halloween Time - you’re going to love it!

Mickey’s Halloween Party is the best! With your Mickey’s Halloween Party ticket, you can enter Disneyland Park up to 3 hours prior to the party starting. All Guests can dress in costume if they wish, just be sure to read over these costume guidelines. Last year each member of my family dressed in different Characters from Frozen.

You will be given a Halloween-themed bag to put all your goodies in for the Trick-o-Treating. I recommend bringing your own larger bag because you fill it up! Last year my family used pillowcases for our bags - size wise, this was perfect, however, if you can bring a similar sized bag with straps, your arms will thank you.

When the party begins, there will be a lot of Disney Villains available for pictures as you enter Main Street, U.S.A. but the lines usually are longer at the start of the party. I recommend begin Trick-o-Treating first for a bit and then heading back for Disney Villian photo opportunities. Jack Skellington and Sally will be located in New Orleans Square, head that direction first and get in line if it’s not too long. They are very popular, this line was the longest when we went last year.

A lot of the attraction lines are shorter during the party, so be sure to be spontaneous and hop on if you see an opportunity!

Most of all, relax and enjoy the spook-tacular atmosphere during Mickey’s Halloween Party. This special event is something you will never forget. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions as your plan your vacation!
