What year did Disney start providing the photopass/professional pictures. I'm looking through old pictures to make an album and can't seem to find any in 2010 or 2013, maybe they only started around 2015? Thanks!

    Hi Christine,

Isn't it fun to look back through old memories from previous Walt Disney World Resort vacations? My family has some shots we love to capture on every single trip, and it's precious to me as a mama to see my kids grow up at "The Most Magical Place on Earth."

According to this Disney Parks Blog article, Disney PhotoPass photographers have been capturing Guests' magical memories for fifteen years now! Of course, the service has undergone many improvements and enhancements through the years, including the addition of Magic Shots and the ability to purchase all of your photos and videos for one price, now known as Memory Maker, but previously called PHOTOPASS+. I know that through the years, I've had many Disney PhotoPass cards from our Disney vacations, however, the only way the photos last forever is if they're purchased. I know for many years, I only would view the photos and not purchase them, but I'm kicking myself now. I'd LOVE to have those pictures of my kiddos when they were younger at our happy place. Thankfully, we've had Memory Maker for our last few trips, and will be able to cherish those photos forever! Hopefully some Disney PhotoPass photos will turn up for you as you're searching through your old collections, and you'll be able to add to those magical memories on your next visit!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christine, and please come see us again if we can help with anything else!
