I have a 13 and a 10 year boy. Looking at Animal Kingdom OR Saratoga Spa...which pool is best for two active , water loving boys? Help!

    Tammy,

While I adore the Animal Kingdom Lodge, I do think that the pool at Saratoga Springs has more active water play areas. Now don't go to the quiet pool and think that I steered you in the wrong direction, you do have to go to the main resort pool for that fun, but I think they will find it amusing.

HOWEVER, there is one big caveat. That is comparing the main Animal Kingdom Lodge pool to the Saratoga Springs pools. But if you are staying at the Animal Kingdom Villas at the Kidani Village side of it all, and you have access to the Samawati Springs Pool, then I would come to a different conclusion. It has a section called Uwanja Camp that is a blast! That complex is like a water park in itself, and would be the best of all choices. I think it is one of the few pools out there that competes with the Beach & Yacht Club pool.

You should know when you place a reservation if you have access to that complex or not, based on the type of room reserved.

BOTTOM LINE: If you have access to the Samawati Springs Pool at Kidani Village, then go Animal Kingdom Villas, otherwise go to the Saratoga Springs.

    Have a magical vacation!
