    Yay! 8 months until disney vaca!! Can UK disney gift cards be used within the parks? So if i request some as our anniversary gift we can take them and use them. Also do you recommend afternoon tea at GF or the cafe at GF? Thanks!!!!

    Hi, Amy!  Thanks to some very reliable information from Disney Moms Sue and Emma, you cannot use the gift cards purchased at the Disney Store in the United Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando.  They are only good at the shops in the UK.

    As for the tea at the Grand Floridian's Garden View Lounge, it is a must do for my family every trip.  It's not easy to find a proper tea here in the states, so the first time we tried it, we wanted to replicate the absolutely wonderful tea services we experienced on our many trips to the UK and Ireland.  The Grand Floridian tea really comes close to some of the best we've had anywhere.  You can choose really whatever you 'd like, from an a la carte service to a full tea, with everything from tea sandwiches to pastries to scones and jam to strawberries with fresh cream.  We love it for multiple reasons, but one big reason is that it's such a nice break from the hurried pace of vacation, where we're trying to see and do so many things.  I also like going as late as I can.  My kids leave here so full and happy, we often skip a full evening meal and just do snacks.

    Remember to book the tea in advance if you're going to do this lovely little meal.  It does tend to fill up ahead of time!
