Yay we booked our trip but we still have lots of questions. Where do we start are there places that are fun for older kids (12 & 15), where can we eat, what is there to do after dark? Thank you so much for answering my previous question so well!

    Nmesoma,

    Thanks for the follow-up question!

Let's start with dining options.I think there are a lot of great places to eat that appeal to older kids. Typically they are not as interested with meeting characters, but they like a meal with some fun entertainment or other activity. As such, these are some of my favorite recommendations. A few are not "fun", but might also be worth consideration. I list where they are, and a bit about what I like about them.

    For active fun or entertainment
50s Prime Time Cafe (Hollywood Studios - fun servers)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (Wilderness Lodge - fun servers)
'Ohana (Polynesian, but for dinner only - intermittent entertainment with great view of Magic Kingdom fireworks)
Hoop Dee Doo Review (Fort Wilderness - Over the top dinner show that is one of our favorites!)
Biergarten Restaurant (Epcot, but for dinner only - German band and festive Oktoberfest feel)
Restaurant Marrakesh (Epcot - Moroccan music and dancing)

    For a fun setting
    ESPN Club (BoardWalk - sports)
Sanaa (Animal Kingdom Villas - animal viewing)
Rose & Crown (Epcot - view of Epcot fireworks)
La Hacienda de San Angel (Epcot - view of Epcot fireworks)
California Grill (Contemporary Resort - upscale dining with view of Magic Kingdom fireworks)

    For after-dinner treats
Beaches and Cream Soda Shop (Beach Club - ice cream you can all share as a treat!)

These are a few ideas. Write me back and let me know where you will be, and I can make more recommendations.

Also, send your travel dates and I can suggest some evening entertainment.

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
