Welcome to planDisney, Robert! Thanks for bringing your question our way.
I'm so excited to hear that you're making plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort this fall. I couldn't be more excited for you! But first, I want to thank you and your family for your service. As a military spouse, I understand how important quality time is, and I can't think of a better place to spend that time together than at The Most Magical Place on Earth. And between
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival presented by CORKCICLE, you're sure to find magic around every corner!
Robert, you are going to love Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! You won't want to miss swimming in the
Lava Pool or dining at
'Ohana. I'm also so happy to hear that your parents will be joining you on this trip! When looking at the
Eligibility Requirements for Shades of Green, it's important that the military sponsor (the member of one of the U.S. Armed Forces and/or their spouse) must accompany their guests at Shades of Green, as well. The military sponsor must be a registered guest at Shades of Green and agree to be responsible for their guests. Not only will a valid and active Military ID be required at the time of check-in, but it will also be required when accessing the Shades of Green bus transportation. For more information, take a look at the
Frequently Asked Questions page or
contact their staff for more assistance!
But Hakuna Matata! No worries! You might want to see if there's availability to book a second room at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort with a
great rate for U.S. military members. You could also keep an eye on the
Special Offers page to see if there's an offer that would suit your parents best! If they're looking to stay at Walt Disney World Resort on a budget, look no further than the
Value Resort Hotels or
Moderate Resort Hotels. Personally, I'm a big fan of
Disney's Pop Century Resort and
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort!
