Welcome to planDisney, Shanna! Thank you for stopping by with your question!
I recently stayed at Shades of Green Resort for the first time and loved the dining options, relaxing theming, and having an Exchange on-site! Garden Gallery offers a delicious breakfast buffet complete with Mickey Waffles and an omelet station! Java Cafe and Express Cafe are also great options for meals on the go, featuring coffee and pastries.
Dining at Walt Disney World Resort can be done in different ways. I have had visits where I ate table service for all meals, and have left the theme park to eat and come back. On my most recent visit, we opted for one table service meal per day, including one where we left Disney's Magic Kingdom Park to eat at 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. All four theme parks have a wonderful variety of options for dining, whether you have an adventurous palette down to the pickiest eater. If you want to leave the park to eat, I suggest heading to a Disney Resort hotel close to that theme park, so that you can head back quickly to enjoy all the magic in the theme parks in the evening. For quicker dining, I suggest making a Mobile Order for quick service meals in the theme parks. I like to do this while I'm in line for an attraction, that way I can pick up my food afterward! Some of my favorite quick-service spots are Sat'uli Canteen at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, Woody's Lunchbox at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Cheeseburger Spring Rolls from the Adventureland Spring Roll Wagon at Magic Kingdom.
Some recommendations for restaurants away from the theme parks that are close by are:
I hope all of these suggestions are helpful, Shanna! Thanks again for visiting planDisney, and if you need additional pixie dust to plan your visit, send me questions at any time. You've got a friend in me!
