Hi y'all. My husband and I are taking our three children for a week in June! YAY! But since I am new to vacationing at the resorts and parks, I feel so overwhelmed. Not knowing how much cash is needed and such, thank you

    Hey Amanda!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Thank you so much for your question. You must be excited to infinite and beyond about your first Walt Disney World vacation.

I completely understand what it's like to plan a budget for a Disney vacation. It's not always easy but here are some ideas to give you a better grasp on your incidental costs:
    • Once you know what parks you will be in each day check out all the dining options in that park. Each restaurant will have a menu with prices. From this you should get a good idea of your food cost each day.
    • I am sure your three children will be in awe of all the toys and apparel which are available for purchase at Walt Disney World. My suggestion is to pick an amount you are comfortable with for each child and go buy three Disney Gift Cards in that amount. This will be their spending 'allowance' for their time at Walt Disney World. It will also limit your spending because each child will be responsible for their own purchases.
    • Don't forget to take into consideration any snacks or the occasional bottle of water on a hot day. My favorite hot weather treat at Walt Disney World is a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle in the Magic Kingdom. If you are in Epcot try the Club Cool which features Coca-Cola products from around the world.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any other questions as you plan your first Walt Disney World vacation please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical Disney vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
