Hi Jennifer,
Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for bringing your dapper question to us.
You are going to love sailing from New Orleans on
Disney Magic! There is nothing like starting your voyage down the Mississippi River before heading into open waters. I encourage you to take in the views.
Jennifer, one of the wonderful things about a Disney Cruise Line vacation is that you should feel free to
dress "Cruise Casual" or dressy at most of the dining venues on any night of your cruise. It looks like you will be sailing on a
5-Night Western Caribbean Cruise, in which case you can plan on one Pirate Night, one optional dress-up night, and the rest of the evenings are more cruise casual. Just remember, swimsuits and beachwear should be reserved for the pool and beach locations.
Many Guests like to don festive pirate-themed attire on
Pirate Night, which adds to the fun. For the optional dress-up night, you will see everything from sequins and pearls to much more casual attire. Do what works for you and your family!
If you are dining at one of the adult-exclusive venues for dinner (for an extra fee), such as
Palo, you will want to pack more elegant clothing to match the restaurant's atmosphere. Remember, to book dinner or brunch at these venues, you should do so as soon as your
booking window opens since they are very popular.
One dining venue where you can decide the dress code is your stateroom for
In-Room Dining! Did you know that you can order complimentary room service aboard your cruise? Some menu items are an extra fee and a gratuity for the Crew Member delivering your meal is appreciated. You can find the In-Room Dining menu on your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. I highly recommend it!
I hope this information is helpful, Jennifer. Please sail by any time with other questions.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
