Welcome back, Shannan! We are so glad you have turned to planDisney to help you with your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. There is no need to apologize to this crew for overthinking when it comes to Disney vacation planning!
Since you are managing your daughter's profile in your
My Disney Experience account, any
Disney PhotosPass photos she has captured, even if she is not with you at the time, will show up in your account. If she is wearing a MagicBand, her on-ride attraction photos will "automagically" link to your account -- no scan necessary. When capturing photos with a Disney PhotoPass photographer, she will scan her band to link the photos to your account. I think you will both love seeing the
Magic Shots that appear in your photos! For anyone else in your
Family & Friends list, as long as they have
set photo sharing permission with you, you will also be able to view their photos in your account. If you have purchased
Memory Maker, you'll be able to
download all the photos in your account,
including those of up to 25 Guests in your Family & Friends list, as many times as you like to any of your devices. Note: Memory Maker does not also entitle your Family & Friends to download photos from their accounts; however once you have downloaded your photos, you may
share them via social media or email.
Guests who are staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can use their MagicBand to charge purchases to their room folio, which are then charged to the credit card on file. If you would like your daughter to be able to use her MagicBand for charging privileges, you can set this up at the Front Desk of your Disney Resort Hotel.
You are welcome to set up your My Disney Experience accounts however you like, but my recommendation would be to just leave your 14-year-old on your account for now. My teens do not have their own accounts -- they just log into mine on their phones. One big change you'll notice since your last visit is
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering -- so convenient! We'll browse menus and build our order while waiting in line for an attraction, and then when we are ready to eat just press "I'm Here, Prepare My Order!". When my teens place a mobile order, since they are using my account it is charged to the credit card I have linked. (Ummm...we had to have a conversation about just how many Cream Cheese Pretzels are reasonable to order in one day!) Since your
14-year-old will not be able to store a credit card on her own My Disney Experience account, if you would like to allow her to place Mobile Food Orders, it may be best to keep her on your account. My eldest son did create his own account, so now his mobile orders are charged to HIS credit card.
Now I feel like I am the one who is overthinking
for you! Shannan, there is no such thing as too many questions for us here at planDisney. If you think of any other questions, ask away! Have a wonderful vacation!
