Hi Barry! Welcome to planDisney!
Walt Disney World Resort is obviously gorgeous at any time of yEAR, but there's just something so special about being in The Most Magical Place on Earth during the holidays! Growing up, my family always visited in the spring and summer, so I was completely blown away by the festive atmosphere that you can find in all four Theme Parks, the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels and the shopping, dining, and entertainment district of Disney Springs when I visiting in December last year.
Right now, all Guests need both a valid
Theme Park Ticket as well as a
Theme Park Reservation to enter their
first Park of the day. It's a great idea to make your Theme Park Reservations as soon as possible since, as you've noticed, they can and do fill up. If you decided on a last-minute holly, jolly holiday and Theme Park Reservations aren't available for some Parks you still might have an option!
If you and your party have already purchased the
Park Hopper Option Theme Park Ticket you'll find that "Park Hopping", otherwise known as visiting multiple Theme Parks per day, is available after 2 p.m. each day. Since you only need a Theme Park Reservation for your first Park of the day, this could be the way you get to walk down Main Street U.S.A., and ride classic
Magic Kingdom attractions like Space Mountain and
"it's a small world".
The ability to Park Hop is based on availability, so this is not a guarantee, but it's definitely worth a shot! If Park Hopping is unavailable because a Park has already reached capacity for the day you will be notified via a push notification on your
My Disney Experience mobile app.
So, Barry, plan to spend the morning running around EPCOT, Disney's Animal Kingdom, or Disney's Hollywood Studios, and hopefully you'll get to spend your evenings meandering through Magic Kingdom!
I hope you have a magical and memorable vacation!
