Is it worth it to get a park hopper pass versus a one park per day ticket?

Hi Chris and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You’ve brought us a great question about the Park Hopper ticket option!

Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort always makes for a great time. Visiting more than one park per day really depends on your group. Some families choose to explore one park per day and make the most of it, enjoying parades and fireworks at the one park and then moving on to another park the next day of their visit. Others like to do their “favorite things” during their visits and those things may not always be at the same theme park.

For example, my family and I really like visiting the Magic Kingdom Park first thing in the morning the first day of our visits. On that first day, we also really love seeing the fireworks display, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at the World Showcase lagoon at Epcot at night. The next day we’ll spend the morning at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park and watch the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom Park.

I like the park hopper option because it gives you more flexibility. You can come and go as you please and for my family, it’s worth the extra fee.

Another important factor to consider is how much energy you have. I have some pretty ambitious, Disney loving friends, who always aspire to visit all four parks in one visit! I can also boast visiting all four parks in one day, but it’s safe to stay you may have to sleep in the next day!

Chris, whatever you decide to do, make sure that your family enjoys their experience. You don’t have to get absolutely everything on your list done in one day. Take your time and enjoy a Mickey ice cream bar or two, after all, it’s a vacation!
