is it worth it to get a golf cart at wilderness cabins

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katelyn! I’m excited to know that in just a few days you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your family! Spring is a great time for a magical visit!

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is my family’s first choice when staying on property. Even our dogs love to come and stay with us! We really like that it’s easy to get around this resort. Disney buses, bikes, golf carts or walking will get you where you need to go.

While renting a golf cart is not necessary, it sure is a fun way to get around! We enjoy riding in a golf cart so much, we use a trailer to bring our own golf cart from home!

There are lots of places to park your cart when visiting the resort pools, recreation areas, restaurants and most importantly there’s ample parking space at the marina. It’s always nice to hop off the boat transportation and use our golf cart to get back to our cabin after a long fun-filled day at the Magic Kingdom Park.

Katelyn, if you decide that renting a Golf Cart is what you would like to do, you can call (407) 824-2742 to speak to an always helpful Cast Member who can reserve a cart for you before your stay. Unreserved carts might also be available for rental upon your arrival. Just visit the Reception Outpost for more information.

During your stay be sure to take a look at all the recreation activities available to you. From canoe rentals to arcade games, there’s something to satisfy everyone in your group!

    Have a magical visit!
