Is it worth the extra for a MK view at BLT? Seems that I remember a lot of parking lot in that view as well. Probably won't be in the room evry night for the fireworks, the lagoon seems like a more peaceful view.

Hi Lesley, I often find "is it worth it" questions challenging because I don't know what the guest's interests or priorities are. Some guests have dreamed for a lifetime about sitting on their balcony looking off at the Castle, while others just want a restful vacation. You seem to have answered your question yourself. You value peacefulness and natural scenery, so in your case a lagoon view would probably be preferable. If you had a lagoon view and wanted to watch the fireworks from the hotel, you could always step out to the observation deck at the Contemporary. You may also want to think about the opportunity cost of you money as well. What could you do with the funds that you would save by choosing a lagoon view over a castle view? Would you get a spa treatment? See a show like Cirque du Soliel or the Hoop Dee Doo Revue? Enjoy fine dining at a signature restaurant? Any of these things would add a memorable element to your vacation. Perhaps as memorable as a castle view from your room. Good luck with your planning.
