Oh my Disney, Kevin! Only two more sleeps until you arrive at The Most Magical Place on Earth! It sounds like you or someone you love is going to be running in the
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon this weekend. What a fabulous time for a run-cation!
The runDisney spectators are so motivating when I'm out there, huffing and puffing around mile 10. Those fabulous signs and smiling faces are just what I need to get across the finish line! I took a peek at the runDisney website, and it looks like the
ChEAR Squad packages may be sold out. While this is the easiest and most comfortable way of chEARing on your runner, it's certainly not the only way.
The recommended
spectator viewing locations for this weekend's event are located at the Start and Finish lines. In-park course viewing is also available inside
Epcot (during regular park hours). Keep in mind that valid theme park admission is required for the spectator viewing areas in Epcot. Since the Park doesn't open until 9:00 AM on November 3, this may not be the best option, depending on your runner's pacing and expected finish time. Complimentary runDisney transportation is available to these viewing locations.
Another viewing location I'd highly recommend is
Disney's BoardWalk area, which will be right around the 11-mile marker. Something to note, however, is that runDisney does not provide dedicated transportation to this location, and parking fees may apply if you decide to park at Disney's BoardWalk Inn. If you happen to be staying on Walt Disney World Resort property, you may want to consider taking a
Minnie Van here. And don't forget to sign up for Runner Tracking online at the Expo or text WDH to 38909!
I hope you have a delectable time, Kevin. See ya' real soon!
