Is it worth the additional cost to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge vs. Carribean Beach and/or Port Orleans?

    Hi Gloria,

This is one of the most frequently asked questions we get on this panel. However, we rarely have the answer. I will share my thoughts on the subject so you can have additional information.

I have stayed at all of the resort you mentioned above. I would go back to Port Orleans Riverside in a heartbeat. It is my favorite Moderate resort. It is small and charming, and the transportation is good via the motorcoaches.

The Caribbean Beach is a large resort. Depending on which island you are at, you could have a long wait for a bus or walk to the dining area. However, it is beautifully themed, and if you have pirates or Nemo fans, this may be the resort for you.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is so unique, and I love Boma. I stayed in a savannah view room, only because there was a big discount, and it was great to eat with the animals outside my balcony each morning. The pool is super cool however the transportation is always by bus which the only Deluxe not to have another form of transportation to the parks.

If money is not an option, Animal Kingdom is cool. However, if you are not going to be in the room or at the resort for an extended period of time, try the Moderate resorts. If you have little ones in strollers or will be going back to the resort during the day, you may want to stay at another deluxe resort.

    Have a great trip!
