I am worried about the dress code at the signature dining restaurants. It says no tank-tops.I usually wear a nice silk top with thin straps with a skirt or dress pants when I go out to nice places. What really counts as a 'tank-top"? What's a girl to wear?

Hi Stephanie! You're smart to be planning your outfits in advance! I usually over-pack and take almost everything I own!

The dress code for the signature restaurants at Disney World prohibits tank tops, cut-off or torn clothing, swimsuits, and t-shirts with offensive language or graphics. The purpose of the dress code is to ensure that diners are appropriately neatly dressed for the upscale dining experience in the signature restaurants and that guests' attire is not overly revealing, and thus, is compatible with the family-friendly environment of Disney World.  With that in mind, the outfits you described definitely sound appropriate for the signature restaurants at Disney World, and you may even find that you are dressed more nicely than many other guests. Disney is a very casual place, and the dress code permits T-shirts, jeans, and dress shorts. I generally wear a skirt or pants with a dressy top to the signature restaurants, and you'll see many female diners dressed similarly or in sundresses or capri pants. The air-conditioning in the restaurants can make it chilly, so if you do wear a sleeveless top, you might want to carry a light cardigan with you to make sure you're comfortable.

Hope this helps! Please visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
