I have a World of Color Dessert Party reservation for 4. Two people can't make it. How do I reduce the number of people and get a refund for those 2 tickets?

Greetings, Eileen, and welcome to planDisney! You're in for a treat, in more ways than one! The World of Color Dessert Party is such a wonderful experience. Let's make sure you're all set for a delicious and fun time!

First of all, I'm sorry that your plans changed. Since your party size is going from four Guests to two, the best solution is to cancel the existing reservation and book a new one with the updated number of Guests. Since you'll be unable to go with four Guests, you should cancel now to avoid being charged for no-shows. The dessert party currently has a one-day cancellation policy – you'd need to cancel at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged. Right after canceling, try to make a new reservation. At the time of writing this, reservations still appear to be available, but that could change very soon.

I really enjoyed the World of Color Dessert Party. My sister, mom, and I spent the evening together in the park before heading to the check-in area for our reservation. We were seated at a table with a great view of Paradise Bay, and each received a box filled with snacks and treats. The show itself is so fun, with towering fountains, a rainbow of colors, special moments from popular movies projected onto mist screens, and more. Plus, there are times in the show that make everyone want to dance! Being able to watch it from an exclusive area where I could comfortably sit and enjoy my box of treats was unique and memorable.

And speaking of food, the California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will continue through April 27, 2026. There are some amazing food and drink items available for purchase. As far as desserts go, one of my favorites is the Cherry Cobbler Pot de Crème. My husband really likes the chocolate Mickey-shaped macaron. If there are enough items that look interesting to you, you could purchase a Sip and Savor Pass for either four or eight items. It's a convenient way to sample the offerings of the festival marketplaces!

Eileen, I'll sprinkle a little pixie dust and make a wish that you're able to secure a new reservation for the dessert party. It will be such a great addition to your trip, and I hope you love it as much as I do. If you think of any other questions ahead of your trip, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
