Hi! working out if the meal plan will be the best value for us. I’ve been viewing them menus online, some are obvious whats included with the meal plan symbol. Some don’t, how do I know what is included? Is a drink on standard plan? How about in quick serv

    Hello again, Sarah!

I'm so glad you've come back to us with another question. Booking a Meal Plan is a big decision for any vacation, so you are smart to consider all your options before committing.

When staying at an eligible Disneyland Paris hotel, guests can choose from Breakfast only, Half Board which includes Breakfast and a choice of Lunch or Dinner, or Full Board which includes 3 meals per day. Meal Plans must be added for each guest on your room reservation aged 3 and up, and you'll have a choice of Standard, Plus, Premium Plus, or Extra Plus depending on where you are staying. You'll also need to note additional restrictions like the Quick Service requirement for 1 meal per day when purchasing the Standard Full Board Plan as a guest of Disney Davy Crocket Ranch or Disney Santa Fe Hotel. Your total number of Meal Plan allotments will be determined by your length of stay.

Based on my research, soft drinks are included in your resort Breakfast Only Meal Plan as well as on Half and Full Board Meal Plan menus at participating Quick Service locations. These meals will include an entree, side, and soft drink for adults, while dessert is included for children. For example, when looking at the menu for Café Hyperion, you'll see the Meal Plan menu options listed at the top, each including a cold drink. Over at Bistrot Chez Rémy, your Table Service Meal will include a starter, main course, and dessert (the Émile Menu). Soft drinks are not included at Table Service Meals for adults but are included at All-You-Can-Eat Buffets, and on children's Meal Plans menus. In addition, wine pairings are not included in your Meal Plan, but may be purchased for an additional fee, where offered.

I don't have access to your reservation details to confirm pricing, but I recommend totaling up your preferred meals each day to see if the Meal Plan makes sense. You can even filter all restaurants by Meal Plan Type, and/or Type of Service using the drop-down filter menus. In most cases, adding a Meal Plan to your Hotel + Ticket Package will have a financial benefit, as long as you secure the necessary reservations in advance and budget time for all the dining experiences each day.

If you are unsure whether a particular menu item qualifies under a Meal Plan, feel free to reach out to a member of the Dream Team via chat. I've had some good luck chatting with them online over the past few days, which saved me from making an international phone call.

Sarah, I wish you a delicious visit next summer. In the meantime, please come back with more questions.

    Until next time, bon appétit!
