    Because of work cant make resv until Oct, planning on coming first week in Feb 2010, wondering if POFQ books up fast that time of yr or should I start looking for a 2nd choice? Also whats top 3 choices for to-be 6 yr for bday dinner? Thx for all your help

    Terri,

    While resorts can fill up, I think that you should be OK, even booking in October. But it always helps to have a second and third resort in mind, just in case. My suggestions as great backups for Port Orleans French Quarter are;
    • Port Orleans Riverside
    • Coronado Springs

    As for a 6-year old's birthday dinner, here are my top 3 choices;

    1. Chef Mickey's
    2. Mickey's Backyard BBQ
    3. Whispering Canyon Cafe
    You might also consider (if the 6 year old is a girl) Cinderella's Royal Table. While there are no characters, as there would be at lunch or breakfast, that is actually a good thing. A magical atmosphere, and she is more of the center of attention!

    Another choice is to hit a table service restaurant in the Epcot World Showcase that has his/her favorite food type.

    Also, did you know you can order a special cake for the occasion? Visit this page for more information on both the cakes, as well as other birthday related ideas!

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
