Welcome to planDisney, David! I understand how disappointing it can be to have your plans shift. I am happy to help you figure out next steps for your unused Southern California Resident Tickets.
While
Disneyland Resort theme park tickets are non-refundable, there’s some good news tucked into the fine print! According to the
current terms and conditions, you can apply the value of a wholly unused, expired ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket or even upgrade to a higher-value option. This gives you some flexibility as you decide how and when you’d like to return to the magic. If you’d like to explore upgrade options or have specific questions about your ticket’s expiration, I recommend calling the
Tickets line to speak with a Cast Member. They’re always happy to assist and will do their best to find a solution that works for you.
If you decide to upgrade your ticket, David, you’ll be visiting at a particularly exciting time! Beginning May 16, the Disneyland Resort will kick off a dazzling summer season in honor of the 70th anniversary of Disneyland. Two beloved nighttime spectaculars are returning, and they’re sure to add even more magic to your visit.
At Disneyland, Wondrous Journeys will once again light up the night sky with breathtaking projection effects, stirring musical arrangements, and a heartfelt tribute to Disney animation. And if that weren’t exciting enough, Paint the Night is also making its grand return! This energetic parade is packed with glowing floats, catchy music, and beloved characters dancing their way through the park. I’m especially thrilled about the return of the Frozen float. It’s been far too long since we've seen it sparkle down the parade route.
I hope this information helps you as you plan your next magical Disneyland Resort adventure, David! If you have any more questions about tickets, upgrades, or making the most of your visit, we hope you’ll come back and visit us again here at planDisney.
Wishing you a magical visit!
David
