Hey, Jaclyn! Welcome to planDisney.
It's a pity you can't attend
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Hopefully, you'll be able to join the party next year. This is my absolutely favorite event at Walt Disney World Resort. In my opinion, Christmastime is "the most wonderful time of the year" and nobody does Christmas like Disney. There's nothing like watching
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade as the snow falls on Main Street, U.S.A.
Even though you're not attending this special event, there is still plenty of festive fun to experience and enjoy. Some of my highlights include the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, the Santa Claus Motorcade at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the Merry Menagerie at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll, and simply visiting the Disney Resorts and checking out all their magical décor. As you can see, there's so much—TOO MUCH—to do. Therefore, I'm sure you'll have a truly wonderful time.
But "let's get down to business." Jaclyn, the Christmas lights in Magic Kingdom Park, particularly on Main Street, U.S.A., are so magical. Thankfully, the sun sets pretty early in December (around 5:30 PM). The lights will come on shortly before then. Therefore, you should be able to enjoy them and get some enchanting pictures before you have to leave the park at 6:00 PM. Make sure you find some of the
Disney PhotoPass photographers located around Main Street, U.S.A. so that you can capture some extra special memories.
I hope that's helpful, Jaclyn. Have a great trip.
Mike
